About Apex Fashion Lab
Apex Fashion Lab (AFL) is the FASHION CONSULTING FIRM, working with 0-1 fashion founders and brands across strategy, operations and growth. We work with founders through two structured pathways: Fashionpreneur Cohort and D2D, Design to Delivery.
→ Fashionpreneur Cohort
A 12-week structured programme where founders build their own fashion brand hands-on, with curriculum, mentorship, industry connections and practical execution.
→ D2D, Design to Delivery
An end-to-end execution partnership where AFL builds the brand while the founder guides the vision. The team handles the development pipeline from niche validation, brand conceptualization and sourcing to design, production, logistics, website, digital infrastructure and launch.
As a developer at AFL, you'll work on real fashion brands being built through these programmes, building their Shopify stores and digital experiences while working closely with founders and the internal team.
What Are We Offering?
We are looking for a Shopify Native / Headless Website Developer to join AFL full-time and work on live ecommerce projects for fashion brands.
You will work across Shopify development, headless website development, frontend development, ecommerce UX and conversion optimization.
This is not a role where you will simply receive a design and code it. You will be expected to understand the brand, customer and business objective, contribute to technical decisions and take ownership of the website from development to launch.
We are willing to train you on specific Shopify, headless and CRO concepts, but you should already be technically strong, AI-native and comfortable learning independently.
What You’ll Work On
- Building and launching Shopify native and headless websites
- Developing responsive and high-performance frontend experiences
- Working with React, Next.js, Hydrogen and React Router
- Working with Shopify Storefront API and GraphQL
- Integrating Shopify APIs and ecommerce functionality
- Optimizing websites for conversion, UX and performance
- Understanding and applying CRO and customer psychology
- Working closely with founders, designers and the AFL team
- Joining client and internal meetings
- Understanding requirements and communicating technical decisions clearly
- Using Claude Code as a core part of your development workflow
- Taking projects from development through launch
Who Are We Looking For?
You don't need to know everything before joining us. We are willing to train the right person.
We are looking for someone who is:
- Strong in HTML, CSS and JavaScript
- Experienced with React / Next.js / Hydrogen / React Router
- Familiar with the Shopify ecosystem
- Experienced with Shopify Storefront API and GraphQL
- Comfortable with native and headless Shopify development
- Highly proficient with Claude Code
- Interested in ecommerce, CRO and customer psychology
- A strong problem solver and fast learner
- Comfortable taking ownership and working independently
- Confident communicating with founders, designers and team members
- Comfortable attending and contributing to meetings
- Able to explain technical concepts clearly
What Makes This Role Different?

You'll be working on real fashion brands from 0 to 1, understanding how technology, ecommerce, design and customer psychology come together to build a business.
We care about whether the website looks good, works well and converts, not just whether the code works.
