A Logistics Accountant manages financial data related to the physical movement and storage of goods across a supply chain. This role tracks expenses (freight, fuel, and warehousing), reconciles invoices, and ensures supply chain profitability. - Freight & Expense Tracking: Monitor and allocate costs for 3PL providers, trucking, fuel, and packaging.
- Invoice Processing & Auditing: Verify shipping invoices against carrier contracts, rates, and proof of deliveries (PODs).
- Accounts Payable/Receivable: Process vendor payments, track freight bills, and manage customer invoicing for logistics services.
- Inventory Valuation: Review and reconcile physical stock levels across warehouses to identify variances.
- Financial Reporting: Prepare profitability reports per route, client, or business unit.
- Statutory Compliance: Handle taxes, GST/VAT reconciliations, and assist with annual financial audits.
