Production Planning & Control (PPC) Executive – Job DescriptionJob Summary
The PPC Executive is responsible for planning, scheduling, monitoring, and controlling production activities to ensure timely delivery of products while optimizing resources, inventory, and production capacity.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare production plans based on customer orders, forecasts, and inventory levels.
- Develop daily, weekly, and monthly production schedules.
- Coordinate with production, procurement, quality, and logistics teams.
- Monitor production progress and ensure adherence to schedules.
- Track raw material availability and coordinate with purchasing departments.
- Analyze production capacity and identify bottlenecks.
- Maintain inventory levels of raw materials, work-in-progress (WIP), and finished goods.
- Prepare production reports, MIS reports, and performance metrics.
- Ensure on-time delivery and efficient resource utilization.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives to reduce waste and increase productivity.
Required Skills
- Knowledge of production planning and scheduling techniques.
- Understanding of inventory management and supply chain processes.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in MS Excel and ERP systems such as SAP ERP, Oracle ERP, or similar.
- Good communication and coordination skills.
- Ability to work under deadlines and manage multiple priorities.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or Diploma in Mechanical, Production, Industrial, Manufacturing Engineering, or related field.
- 1–5 years of experience in production planning, manufacturing, or supply chain operations (varies by role level).
