Job Description
Plexus HoReCa Industries are looking for a hands‑on Production Supervisor to support daily shop‑floor operations in a sheet‑metal fabrication environment. The role involves managing production activities, coordinating manpower, ensuring quality, and supporting the Plant Head in achieving output, safety and delivery targets.
This position is ideal for professionals who have strong technical knowledge in fabrication processes and are ready to take responsibility for a production line or section.
Key Responsibilities
1. Production & Operations
- Supervise day‑to‑day production activities across fabrication, welding, laser cutting and bending process.
- Ensure adherence to production plans, shift schedules, and output targets.
- Monitor machine utilization, material flow, and WIP levels.
- Support NPD trials and engineering changes under guidance of senior engineers/managers.
2. Quality & Process Control
- Ensure compliance with quality standards for MS/SS/GI/EG Sheets fabrication.
- Conduct in‑process inspections and coordinate with QA for defect analysis.
- Implement basic problem‑solving tools (Qc) to reduce rework and improve process stability.
3. Manpower & Shop‑Floor Management
- Handle a team of 25–40 operators.
- Allocate work, monitor performance, and ensure discipline and safety.
- Train operators on SOPs, machine handling, and quality requirements.
4. Technical & System Skills
- Exposure to laser cutting machines, nesting basics, press shop, welding.
- Ability to read engineering drawings and fabrication process documents.
5. Safety & Compliance
- Ensure adherence to safety protocols and 5S practices.
- Report incidents, near misses, and support corrective actions.
Education
- Diploma / B.E / B.Tech in Mechanical, Production, Manufacturing, or related fields.
