Pocket Journey is looking for a proactive and customer-focused Tour Operations Executive (Inbound & Outbound) to manage domestic, international, and inbound travel operations. The ideal candidate should be passionate about travel, possess strong communication and organizational skills, and be capable of delivering exceptional travel experiences from enquiry to tour completion.
Key ResponsibilitiesInbound Tour Operations
- Handle enquiries from international travel agents and direct foreign clients.
- Design customized Kerala and India tour packages based on client preferences.
- Coordinate hotel reservations, transportation, sightseeing, guides, and other travel services.
- Prepare detailed itineraries, quotations, vouchers, and travel documents.
- Liaise with hotels, transport providers, local guides, and destination management partners.
- Ensure smooth tour execution and provide on-tour assistance when required.
- Handle guest feedback and resolve operational issues promptly.
Outbound Tour Operations
- Design and sell international and domestic holiday packages.
- Prepare customized itineraries and quotations.
- Coordinate hotel bookings, flights, visas, insurance, sightseeing, cruises, and transfers.
- Work with overseas DMCs and travel partners to secure the best rates and services.
- Assist clients with visa documentation and travel requirements.
- Monitor bookings until travel completion and provide after-sales support.
General Responsibilities
- Respond to customer enquiries through phone, email, WhatsApp, and social media.
- Maintain excellent customer relationships and deliver outstanding service.
- Negotiate competitive rates with hotels, airlines, transport providers, and suppliers.
- Maintain accurate booking records and operational documentation.
- Coordinate with the ticketing, visa, and sales teams.
- Meet monthly sales and operational targets.
- Stay updated on travel trends, destination information, visa regulations, and tourism policies.
- Promote Pocket Journey's travel products and special offers.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Tourism, Travel & Hospitality, Business Administration, or a related field (preferred).
- Minimum 1 year of experience in travel operations or holiday package sales (freshers with strong communication skills may also apply).
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English and Malayalam. Additional languages are an advantage.
- Strong customer service and negotiation skills.
- Good knowledge of domestic and international destinations.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple bookings simultaneously.
