Job Description – Mathematics Teacher
Position: Mathematics Teacher
Role Purpose:
To teach Mathematics effectively, develop students' numerical and problem-solving skills, and create a positive learning environment that encourages academic excellence.
Key Responsibilities
Plan and deliver Mathematics lessons according to the prescribed curriculum.
Prepare annual plans, lesson plans, worksheets, and teaching-learning materials.
Explain mathematical concepts using appropriate teaching methods and activities.
Assess students through classwork, homework, tests, projects, and examinations.
Maintain student records, attendance, and assessment reports.
Identify students who need additional support and provide remedial coaching.
Encourage critical thinking, logical reasoning, and problem-solving skills.
Use technology and innovative teaching strategies to enhance learning.
Maintain discipline and ensure a safe classroom environment.
Participate in school activities, meetings, training programs, and parent-teacher meetings.
Prepare question papers, answer keys, and evaluation records.
Support school policies and contribute to the overall development of students.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree in Mathematics or related field.
B.Ed. (Bachelor of Education) or equivalent teaching qualification.
Strong knowledge of Mathematics curriculum and teaching methodologies.
Good communication and classroom management skills.
