Residential Boys Hostel Warden – Responsibilities :
A Residential Boys Hostel Warden is responsible for the safety, discipline, welfare, and day-to-day administration of students living in the hostel. The warden typically resides on campus and is available to handle student needs and emergencies.
1. Hostel Administration
- Supervise daily hostel operations.
- Allocate rooms and maintain occupancy records.
- Manage admissions, check-ins, check-outs, and room changes.
- Maintain hostel registers, attendance records, and student files.
- Ensure hostel rules and policies are implemented.
2. Student Discipline
- Enforce hostel regulations and code of conduct.
- Monitor student attendance and curfew compliance.
- Prevent ragging, bullying, and misconduct.
- Conduct regular room inspections and hostel rounds.
- Report serious disciplinary issues to management.
3. Student Welfare and Counseling
- Act as a mentor and guide for students.
- Listen to student concerns and grievances.
- Help students adjust to hostel life.
- Resolve conflicts between residents.
- Monitor students' emotional and physical well-being.
4. Safety and Security
- Ensure the safety and security of hostel residents.
- Monitor visitor entry and exit procedures.
- Respond to emergencies, accidents, and health issues.
- Coordinate with security personnel.
- Arrange medical assistance and hospitalization when required.
5. Facility and Maintenance Management
- Ensure cleanliness and hygiene of rooms and common areas.
- Coordinate with housekeeping and maintenance teams.
- Monitor hostel infrastructure, furniture, and equipment.
- Ensure timely repairs and maintenance.
6. Food and Mess Supervision
- Monitor the quality and hygiene of food served.
- Coordinate with catering or mess staff.
- Address student complaints regarding meals and dining facilities.
7. Coordination and Reporting
- Communicate with parents regarding important student matters.
- Coordinate with college/school administration.
- Prepare reports on hostel activities, incidents, and student issues.
- Work with security, maintenance, and other support departments.
Pay: ₹25,000.00 - ₹30,000.00 per month
