Job Title: Milling Machine Operator

Job Responsibilities
- Operate conventional / VMC milling machines as per production requirements.
- Read and understand engineering drawings, dimensions, and tolerances.
- Perform milling, drilling, slotting, facing, and other machining operations.
- Set up machines, workpieces, cutting tools, and fixtures.
- Select appropriate cutting tools, speeds, and feeds.
- Use measuring instruments such as Vernier caliper, micrometer, height gauge, and bore gauge.
- Check component dimensions and maintain required quality standards.
- Identify machining defects and make necessary corrections.
- Perform basic machine maintenance and keep the work area clean.
- Follow production schedules, safety procedures, and quality standards.
- Coordinate with the Production, Quality, and Design teams when required.
- Maintain daily production and inspection records.
Required Skills
- Good knowledge of milling machine operations and machining processes.
- Ability to read 2D engineering drawings.
- Knowledge of GD&T and basic machining tolerances is preferred.
- Good knowledge of measuring instruments.
- Ability to troubleshoot basic machining and tooling issues.
- Knowledge of cutting tools, fixtures, and work holding.
- Safety-conscious and able to work independently.
