Job Title: Barista Reports To: Cafe Manager / Shift Supervisor Department: Front of House (FOH) / Beverage Operations Position Type: Full-time or Part-time (Requires early mornings, weekends, or holidays) Job Summary The Barista is responsible for preparing and serving high-quality specialty coffee, teas, and other beverages to customers. This role requires excellent customer service, a strong attention to detail, and the ability to maintain speed and accuracy in a fast-paced environment. Baristas must also possess a deep knowledge of the menu to assist guests with recommendations and dietary options. Key Responsibilities Beverage Crafting & Execution: Grind coffee beans, pull espresso shots, and steam milk to exact standards (including creating latte art where required). Prepare teas, cold brews, smoothies, and seasonal drinks consistently following specific recipes. Customer Service & Order Taking: Greet customers warmly as they enter. Take food and beverage orders accurately, answer menu questions (e.g., explaining flavor profiles or origin notes), and offer alternative milk or syrup options for dietary preferences. Point of Sale (POS) Operations: Process cash, card, and mobile payments efficiently. Maintain an accurate cash drawer and ensure mobile or delivery orders are tracked and fulfilled promptly. Equipment Maintenance & Calibration: Dial in espresso grinders and calibrate the espresso machine daily to ensure optimal flavor. Clean, backflush, and sanitize brewing equipment throughout the day and at closing. Food Handling & Merchandising: Serve pastries, sandwiches, and other light bites safely following health codes. Restock retail shelves with coffee bags, mugs, and grab-and-go items, ensuring clean and attractive displays. Cleanliness & Sanitation: Keep the espresso bar, service counters, guest seating areas, and condiment stations clean, organized, and sanitized at all times.
Pay: ₹18,000.00 - ₹22,000.00 per month
