Key Responsibilities
- Receive raw materials, bought-out items, cutting tools, and consumables.
- Verify materials against purchase orders and delivery challans.
- Issue materials to production as per material requisition slips.
- Maintain stock of raw materials, tools, inserts, gauges, and consumables.
- Record all receipts and issues in the store register.
- Monitor minimum and maximum stock levels and raise purchase requisitions.
- Conduct periodic physical stock verification and reconcile inventory differences.
- Ensure proper identification, storage, and preservation of materials.
- Coordinate with Purchase, Production, Quality, and Dispatch departments.
- Maintain FIFO/FEFO practices where applicable.
- Keep the store clean, organized, and compliant with 5S and safety requirements.
- Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly inventory reports.
Required Skills
- Knowledge of inventory management and store procedures.
- Experience with Tally.
- Understanding of machine shop materials, cutting tools, and consumables.
- Good documentation and record-keeping skills.
- Basic computer knowledge (MS Excel, Word).
Qualification
- Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Commerce, or a related field.
- 2–5 years of experience in machine shop or manufacturing stores (preferred).
