Job Summary:
The Mechanical Engineer is responsible for the installation, operation, maintenance, testing, and commissioning of mechanical systems and equipment in shipbuilding projects, ensuring compliance with safety, quality, and project standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Install, inspect, test, and commission mechanical equipment onboard ships.
- Operate and maintain marine winches, hydraulic systems, and mechanical power systems.
- Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on pumps, compressors, gearboxes, engines, and auxiliary machinery.
- Troubleshoot mechanical faults and implement corrective actions.
- Review engineering drawings and ensure work is carried out as per specifications.
- Coordinate with production, electrical, and piping teams for smooth project execution.
- Prepare maintenance records, inspection reports, and commissioning documentation.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations, quality standards, and classification requirements.
Qualifications & Skills
- Diploma/Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering.
- Experience in shipbuilding, marine, or heavy engineering industries preferred.
- Knowledge of winches, hydraulic systems, mechanical power systems, and marine machinery.
- Strong troubleshooting, teamwork, and communication skills.
Pay: ₹20,000.00 - ₹25,000.00 per month
