We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Apparel Production Manager to oversee the end-to-end production process for our luxury fashion label. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing the complete production lifecycle—from design handover and sourcing to manufacturing, quality assurance, and timely delivery—while ensuring exceptional craftsmanship, premium quality standards, and operational efficiency. This role requires close collaboration with design, merchandising, sourcing, quality, and vendor partners to deliver collections that reflect the brand's commitment to excellence.
Key Responsibilities: Production Planning & Execution
- Manage the complete apparel production lifecycle from design approval to finished garment delivery.
- Develop and implement production calendars aligned with collection launch timelines.
- Coordinate production schedules to ensure timely execution while maintaining luxury quality standards.
- Monitor production progress and proactively resolve bottlenecks to meet delivery deadlines.
- Ensure seamless coordination between design, sampling, sourcing, merchandising, quality, and logistics teams.
Product Development & Sampling
- Collaborate with the Design team during product development to ensure designs are production-ready.
- Oversee prototype development, fit samples, size sets, pre-production samples, and final approvals.
- Identify opportunities to improve garment construction without compromising design intent or craftsmanship.
- Ensure all technical specifications, trims, measurements, and workmanship standards are communicated accurately to production partners.
Vendor & Factory Management
- Identify, evaluate, onboard, and manage manufacturing partners, artisans, and specialist vendors.
- Build strong relationships with factories to ensure consistent quality, compliance, and on-time deliveries.
- Negotiate production costs, lead times, and capacity planning while maintaining premium quality.
- Conduct regular factory visits and performance evaluations to ensure adherence to brand standards.
Fabric & Trim Coordination
- Coordinate with sourcing teams to ensure timely procurement of fabrics, trims, embellishments, and accessories.
- Monitor material availability and optimize inventory to prevent production delays.
- Ensure materials meet brand specifications for quality, sustainability, and luxury craftsmanship.
Quality Assurance
- Establish and maintain stringent quality control processes throughout production.
- Conduct inspections at key production stages, including sampling, inline production, and final inspection.
- Resolve quality issues through root-cause analysis and corrective actions.
- Ensure every garment meets the brand's standards for fit, finishing, durability, and craftsmanship.
Cost & Production Management
- Prepare production budgets and monitor manufacturing costs.
- Optimize production efficiency while maintaining uncompromised quality.
- Analyze cost drivers and recommend improvements in productivity and resource utilization.
- Ensure production remains within approved budgets without sacrificing luxury standards.
Inventory & Logistics
- Monitor production inventory, work-in-progress (WIP), and finished goods.
- Coordinate with warehouse and logistics teams for dispatch planning and timely deliveries.
- Maintain accurate production records, reports, and documentation.
Process Improvement
- Develop and implement Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for production.
- Identify opportunities for process optimization, workflow improvements, and waste reduction.
- Introduce best practices in production planning, quality assurance, and manufacturing efficiency.
- Stay informed about innovations in luxury garment manufacturing, sustainable production methods, and emerging technologies.
Team Leadership
- Lead, mentor, and develop the production team.
- Foster a collaborative culture across design, merchandising, sourcing, and production functions.
- Set clear performance objectives and monitor team productivity.
- Ensure adherence to workplace safety, ethical manufacturing, and company policies.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Fashion Technology, Apparel Production, Textile Engineering, Fashion Management, or a related field.
- 5–10 years of experience in apparel production, with significant experience in luxury fashion, couture, premium apparel, or designer labels.
- Proven expertise in managing end-to-end garment production across multiple product categories.
