Job Summary
The Senior Executive – Purchase is responsible for sourcing materials, negotiating with suppliers, issuing purchase orders, monitoring deliveries, and ensuring the timely availability of materials required for production and operations. The role focuses on cost optimization, vendor management, inventory control, and procurement process compliance.
Key ResponsibilitiesProcurement & Purchasing
- Identify and source suppliers for raw materials, components, consumables, and services.
- Obtain quotations, compare prices, and negotiate favorable terms with vendors.
- Prepare and issue Purchase Orders (POs) as per approved requirements.
- Ensure timely procurement of materials to avoid production delays.
- Monitor open purchase orders and follow up with suppliers for on-time delivery.
Vendor Management
- Develop and maintain relationships with existing and new suppliers.
- Evaluate supplier performance based on quality, delivery, cost, and service.
- Conduct vendor negotiations for pricing, payment terms, and contracts.
- Maintain supplier database and documentation.
Inventory & Coordination
- Coordinate with Stores, Production, QA, and Accounts departments.
- Monitor stock levels and plan purchases based on consumption trends.
- Ensure availability of critical materials and spare parts.
- Support inventory control and stock verification activities.
Documentation & Compliance
- Maintain purchase records, quotations, comparison statements, and vendor agreements.
- Ensure procurement activities comply with company policies and procedures.
- Verify supplier invoices and coordinate with Accounts for payment processing.
- Prepare procurement MIS reports and management reports.
Cost Control & Process Improvement
- Identify cost-saving opportunities and alternative suppliers.
- Analyze market trends and pricing fluctuations.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives in procurement processes.
Pay: ₹18,000.00 - ₹30,000.00 per month
