Position Description
Billing infrastructure is revenue infrastructure. In a business running an enterprise sales-led motion and a product-led self-serve motion in parallel, the configuration quality of that stack directly determines what
Finance can close cleanly, what customers are billed accurately, and how much revenue is recovered when payments fail. We’re hiring a systems administrator who treats it that way.
We are seeking a Systems Administrator, Billing Systems to serve as the senior platform expert across our billing stack and a trusted operational partner to Finance, RevOps, and Product Engineering. This role will
own day-to-day administration of and production support across the billing systems landscape in a scaled, dual-motion SaaS environment.

Key Responsibilities:
Billing Systems Administration
- Own multiple billing platform administration for both our PLG self-serve motion and enterprise-grade invoicing and billing, including: payment methods, product and pricing catalog, subscription lifecycle, webhook monitoring, and dispute handling
- Maintain pricing configurations, billing templates, and subscription structures as directed by Finance and RevOps. When the price book changes, Billing Systems reflects it cleanly
- Own dunning and revenue recovery configuration: retry schedules, smart retry settings, grace period logic, and dunning email sequences. Monitor recovery rates and optimize the sequence over time
- Monitor platform health proactively. Identify processing failures, data integrity issues, and configuration gaps before they surface in Finance reporting or customer invoices
- Serve as the primary Stripe and BillingPlatform platform contact for Finance, RevOps, and the billing engineering team
- Execute configuration changes following change management controls: documented, tested, and deployed cleanly
Quote-to-Cash Integrations
- Maintain the integration between Selling/Quoting systems and Billing Systems so quote-to-cash data flows are intact and deals land correctly in relevant billing systems
- Support CPQ-related billing configurations in partnership with the CPQ Lead: price book alignment, quote
output formats, and contract-to-subscription linkages
- Configure and test PLG self-serve billing flows for new product launches, pricing changes, free trial conversion logic, and self-serve subscription management
Provisioning Connectivity
- Partner with Product Engineering on the billing-to-provisioning handoff across both PLG self-serve and SLG enterprise motions.
- Maintain the billing-side integration touchpoints that connect Stripe and BillingPlatform to provisioning workflows, ensuring subscription and order events carry the right data for downstream customer access
- Monitor the billing-to-provisioning handoff and escalate with context when subscription or order events fail to propagate cleanly into customer access
- Support provisioning impact assessment when pricing, packaging, or tier structures change on the billing side
Data Quality & Reconciliation
- Run regular data quality checks across billing systems: subscriber data, payment records, invoice history, and subscription states across SLG and PLG customers
Support billing reconciliation across BillingPlatform, Stripe, Avalara, and NetSuite- Support month-end and quarter-end close with clean, complete, defensible data for Finance reporting
- Maintain runbooks and escalation documentation for common billing data issues
Qualifications:
- 5+ years of experience in billing systems administration, revenue operations, or SaaS billing in environments serving both enterprise and self-serve customers
- Deep hands-on experience with Stripe: subscription management, payment processing, webhook configuration, dunning configuration, and PLG billing flows
- Hands-on experience with an enterprise subscription billing platform such as BillingPlatform, Revenue Cloud, Zuora, or Chargebee
- Development skills in building automation workflows in billing systems via API, webhooks, and other workflow configurations
- Familiarity with Salesforce CPQ: quote-to-cash process, price book structure, and integration touchpoints with billing systems
- Familiarity with billing-to-provisioning integration patterns and partnership with product engineering teams
on subscription event propagation
- Experience supporting billing reconciliation with Finance through NetSuite or equivalent ERP
- Experience in B2B SaaS environments with both sales-led and product-led revenue motions
Preferred Skills:
- Stripe certification such as Stripe Associate
- Experience with usage-based pricing models, including metered billing, freemium conversion, and monthly self-serve
- Salesforce CPQ Specialist certification or hands-on CPQ experience
