Job Title: Head of Visual Merchandising Location: Gurgaon Department: Retail / Brand Experience Role Summary The Head of Visual Merchandising (VM) will lead the end-to-end visual identity and in- store experience across all Lenskart retail formats. This role owns the strategy, design, execution, and consistency of brand presentation across 1500+ stores in India and international markets. The incumbent ensures that every customer walking into a Lenskart store experiences a world-class, premium, and seamless visual journey. Key Responsibilities 1. VM Strategy & Brand Experience • Define and execute the visual merchandising vision aligned with Lenskart’s brand identity and retail strategy. • Build and maintain a unified & premium look across all stores (India & global). • Lead the evolution of VM guidelines, store layouts, product display standards, and signage systems. 2. Retail & Omni-Channel Experience • Create cohesive visual experiences across online, offline, and experiential retail touchpoints. • Partner with Retail, Design, Product, and Marketing teams to translate campaigns into in-store visual stories. 3. Store Execution & Compliance • Drive flawless VM execution across all stores—new openings, remodels, and seasonal refreshes. • Build frameworks for store audits, VM health scores, and continuous improvement. • Establish SOPs and quality standards for fixtures, lighting, product displays, and window concepts. 4. Team Leadership • Lead and mentor a high-performing VM team including designers, zonal VM leads, and field execution teams. • Build strong capability and processes for scaling VM rapidly across markets. 5. Campaign & Product Launch Visualisation • Lead visual strategy for new product rollouts, brand campaigns, and festive/seasonal activations. • Develop creative concepts to boost store traffic, engagement, and conversion. 6. Vendor & Fixture Management • Manage relationships with VM vendors, production houses, and design partners. • Drive cost optimization without compromising brand aesthetics or execution standards. 7. Data-led Improvements • Use store performance data, customer insights, and VM analytics to improve display strategies. • Understand store-level conversion drivers and influence business outcomes through better VM. Key Skills & Competencies • Strong sense of design aesthetics, visual storytelling, and brand expression. • Expertise in retail VM for multi-store formats (preferably in fashion, lifestyle, or eyewear). • Ability to blend creativity with commercial thinking. • Strong leadership and project management skills. • Excellent collaboration with cross-functional teams. • Ability to scale programs in a fast-paced, high-growth environment. Qualifications & Experience • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Visual Merchandising, Design, Fashion Communication, Retail Management, or related fields. • 10–15+ years of experience in visual merchandising, with at least 5 years in a leadership role. • Experience managing VM for a large-format or multi-location retail network is preferred. • Prior experience in eyewear, fashion, lifestyle, or premium retail is a plus.
