We are looking for a knowledgeable and passionate Part-Time IGCSE Biology Teacher to join our academic team. The ideal candidate should have strong subject expertise and the ability to deliver engaging, concept-driven Biology lessons aligned with the Cambridge IGCSE curriculum while supporting students in academic excellence and scientific inquiry.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver Biology lessons aligned with the Cambridge IGCSE curriculum.
- Teach core topics such as cell biology, biological molecules, plant and human physiology, genetics, ecology, reproduction, evolution, and biotechnology.
- Conduct interactive lessons, practical demonstrations, experiments, and inquiry-based learning activities.
- Prepare students for internal assessments, practical evaluations, and board examinations.
- Develop lesson plans, worksheets, assignments, revision materials, and practice papers.
- Assess student progress through tests, projects, assignments, and classroom participation.
- Provide academic mentoring, doubt-clearing sessions, and individualized support.
- Use digital teaching tools, simulations, presentations, and visual resources to enhance learning.
- Maintain student academic records and progress reports.
- Collaborate with academic coordinators, parents, and fellow educators when required.
Required Skills
- Strong subject knowledge in Biology and life sciences.
- Good understanding of the Cambridge Assessment International Education / IGCSE curriculum and assessment patterns.
- Ability to explain complex biological concepts clearly.
- Strong classroom management, communication, and student engagement skills.
- Proficiency in online teaching tools and educational technology (if online/hybrid role).
Preferred Candidate Profile
- Prior experience teaching IGCSE, International Baccalaureate, or other international curricula.
- Experience handling practical/lab-based science learning.
- Strong academic mentoring and exam preparation skills.
- Flexible and available for part-time schedules, evening classes, or weekend sessions if required.
Pay: ₹1,000.00 - ₹2,500.00 per hour
