Senior SEO Lead — Remote (India) | Monday–Friday, UK hours (9am–5pm GMT)
About the role
We're a UK-based online pharmacy looking for a Senior SEO Lead to take full ownership of our SEO function. You'll drive our organic growth strategy end-to-end — technical SEO, content and site architecture, link building, and performance — across a large, fast-growing website. This is a hands-on leadership role for someone who can own outcomes independently.
What you'll do:
- Own and deliver our overall SEO strategy and roadmap
- Lead technical SEO, on-page optimisation, and site architecture
- Develop content-cluster and internal linking strategies
- Drive keyword research, SERP analysis, and organic growth
- Report on rankings, traffic, and key SEO performance metrics
Core SEO experience required:
- Technical SEO — site audits, crawlability and indexation, site architecture, Core Web Vitals, schema markup, and fixing technical issues at scale
- On-page SEO — keyword optimisation, meta tags, headings, content structure, and internal linking
- Off-page SEO & link building — building high-quality backlinks, digital PR, outreach, and managing link profiles
- Keyword research — identifying opportunities, search intent analysis, and mapping keywords to pages
- Content & topic strategy — content-cluster/hub architecture, editorial planning, and optimising content for search
- Competitor & SERP analysis — benchmarking, gap analysis, and identifying ranking opportunities
- Analytics & reporting — Google Search Console, GA4, and rank-tracking tools to measure and report performance
- SEO tools — confident with Ahrefs/SEMrush, Screaming Frog, and similar industry-standard platforms
Requirements:
- Minimum 10 years' hands-on SEO experience. This is essential — if you do not have 10 years' experience, please do not apply, as your application will be rejected immediately.
- Proven track record growing organic traffic on large websites
- Strong technical SEO expertise and command of tools like GSC, GA4, Ahrefs/SEMrush and Screaming Frog
- Excellent written English
- Able to work Monday to Friday, UK hours (9am–5pm GMT)
- Self-directed and able to own the SEO function independently
Hours: Monday to Friday, 9am–5pm UK time (GMT)
Location: Remote (India)
Pay: ₹50,000.00 - ₹90,000.00 per month
