Role Overview
We are looking for an experienced MEP Engineer to manage and oversee the complete Mechanical, Electrical and Plumbing (MEP) services for high-rise residential / commercial buildings.
The candidate will be responsible for planning, design coordination, prepare and review of tender, make comparison, value engineering, technical guidance, execution, quality control, testing, commissioning and handover of MEP works while ensuring adherence to project timelines, specifications, quality standards ad budgets.
Key Responsibilities
MEP Planning & Coordination
- Plan, coordinate and manage MEP activities across residential projects.
- Review MEP drawings, specifications, BOQ’s, shop drawings and technical submissions.
- Coordinate with architects, structural consultants, MEP consultants and project teams.
- Identify and resolve MEP design clashes and site-related technical issues.
- Ensure MEP services are properly coordinated with civil, structural and architectural works.
Electrical Systems
- Manage electrical works including HT/LT systems, transformers, DG sets, electrical panels, power distribution, lighting, earthing and lightning protections, RMU, MSP, FSP, BBT, Cabling work etc.
- Review electrical load calculations, SLDs, cable schedules and electrical layouts.
- Monitor installations of cables, conduits, cable trays, panels and other electrical systems.
- Coordinate electrical requirements for lifts, HVAC, pumps, fire-fighting and other building services.
- Ensure electrical works comply with approved drawings, specifications and applicable standards.
- Oversee testing and commissioning of electrical systems.
HVAC Systems
- Review and coordinate HVAC design and execution for residential buildings and common areas.
- Monitor installation of HVAC equipment, ducting, piping, ventilation and related systems.
- Review HVAC equipment specifications and technical submissions.
- Coordinate HVAC requirements with architectural and structural teams.
- Monitor testing, balancing and commissioning of HVAC systems.
Plumbing Systems
- Manage plumbing works including water supply, drainage, soil/waste water, rainwater harvesting and related systems.
- Review plumbing layouts, pipe sizing and equipment specifications.
- Coordinate installation of water tanks, pumps and associated plumbing systems.
- Ensure proper coordination of plumbing works with shafts, bathrooms, kitchens and other building services.
- Monitor pressure testing, leakage testing, flushing and commissioning.
Quality & Safety
- Ensure MEP installations meet required quality standards and project specifications.
- Conduct regular inspections and coordinate necessary quality checks.
- Ensure proper testing and inspection of MEP installations.
- Coordinate with the safety team to ensure safe execution of MEP activities.
- Ensure compliance with applicable codes, standards and statutory requirements.
Contractor & Vendor Management
- Manage MEP contractors, subcontractors and vendors.
- Review contractor work schedules and monitor performance.
- Evaluate technical proposals, material submittals and shop drawings.
- Conduct regular coordination meetings and site reviews.
- Ensure contractors meet project quality and timeline requirements.
Cost & Material Management
- Review MEP BOQ’s estimates and budgets.
- Monitor MEP material requirements and procurement schedules.
- Control wastage and optimize material utilization.
- Review variations and additional works from a technical perspective.
- Identify opportunities for value engineering
Testing, Commissioning & Handover
- Plan and monitor testing and commissioning of all MEP systems
- Coordinate integrated testing of electrical, HVAC and plumbing systems
- Ensure all MEP snags and defects are closed before handover
- Review as-built drawings, test reports, O&M manuals and other handover documents
- Support the project team during final project handover
- Approve bill as per the work order
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or related Engineering discipline
- 5–10 years of relevant experience in MEP design/execution, preferably in residential or commercial real estate projects
- Strong hands-on experience in Electrical, HVAC and plumbing standards is mandatory
- Experience in managing MEP contractors, consultants and site team is preferred
Pay: ₹50,000.00 - ₹100,000.00 per month
