Work Location
This is a full-time, on-site position based in Chennai, requiring regular interaction with manufacturing operations and active involvement on the shop floor.
Key Responsibilities
- Study, interpret, and understand component drawings, stage drawings, engineering specifications, and customer requirements.
- Possess working knowledge of CNC programming and machining processes to support manufacturing and product development activities.
- Represent the company during customer meetings, technical discussions, audits, and quality assessments.
- Analyze customer drawings and specifications to prepare quotations, feasibility studies, and cost estimates for new products.
- Coordinate with various departments to ensure accurate costing and timely submission of quotations.
- Support fellow colleagues and departments during critical situations to ensure smooth operations and achievement of organizational objectives.
- Conduct regular rounds across all company units to understand operations, identify abnormalities, observe process gaps, and recommend improvement opportunities.
- Actively participate in continuous improvement initiatives aimed at enhancing productivity, quality, cost efficiency, and operational effectiveness.
- Assist in component inspection, quality assurance activities, root cause analysis, and corrective action implementation whenever required.
- Maintain an open mindset towards learning and contributing across different functional areas of the organization.
- Ensure effective implementation and maintenance of Quality Management Systems (QMS), including compliance with IATF and ISO standards.
- Coordinate internal and external audits, maintain audit documentation, and support compliance reporting activities.
- Manage documentation control processes to ensure accuracy, traceability, and compliance with customer and regulatory requirements.
- Analyze operational and quality-related data and prepare concise reports, presentations, and management updates.
- Collaborate effectively with production, quality, design, supply chain, and management teams to drive organizational objectives and customer satisfaction.
- Spend adequate time on the shop floor to understand manufacturing processes, identify improvement opportunities, and support operational excellence initiatives.
- Serve as a bridge between customers and internal teams, ensuring effective communication and timely resolution of concerns.
Qualification
- Educational Qualification - Diploma / Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Production Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related discipline.
Pay: ₹20,000.00 - ₹50,000.00 per month
