We are hiring a Security Team Leader to oversee daily security operations, supervise personnel, and ensure the protection of people and assets. Key responsibilities include scheduling shifts, training staff, enforcing policies, monitoring surveillance systems, and responding to incidents. They act as the primary link between management and security staff, ensuring a safe, compliant environment.
Job Title: Security Team Leader
Reports To: Security Manager/Operations Manager
Job Type: Full-time (often 24/7 rotational shifts)
Key Responsibilities & Duties
- Supervision & Leadership: Lead, motivate, and mentor security officers to achieve high performance and professionalism.
- Operational Management: Organize, schedule, and allocate staff resources for patrols and shifts.
- Access & Surveillance Monitoring: Oversee the operation of electronic access control and CCTV surveillance systems, ensuring effective monitoring and response.
- Risk Management & Incident Response: Respond quickly to emergencies, security breaches, or alarms, conducting incident investigations and producing detailed reports.
- Policy Enforcement: Ensure strict compliance with all security procedures, site-specific policies, and health & safety regulations.
- Training & Compliance: Train staff on emergency protocols, use of equipment (radios, cameras), and verify license compliance.
- Equipment Maintenance: Control and manage all security equipment, including radios, body-worn cameras, and PPE.
- Reporting: Perform site patrols, facility audits, and inspections to identify vulnerabilities.
Requirements & Qualifications
- Experience: Proven experience as a security officer or similar role, with experience leading teams.
- Licensing: Valid security license/SIA license as required by local regulations.
Skills:
- Strong leadership and decision-making capabilities.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in security surveillance systems.
- Emergency response and crisis management skills.
Education: Diploma or equivalent; further training in security management is a plus.
