Job Summary
We are looking for a skilled CNC/VMC/HMC Setter & Programmer to set up, program, and operate CNC, Vertical Machining Center (VMC), and Horizontal Machining Center (HMC) machines. The candidate should have experience in CNC programming, machine setup, tooling selection, process optimization, and maintaining quality standards to ensure efficient production.
Key Responsibilities
- Create and edit CNC programs using G-code, M-code, or CAM software.
- Set up CNC, VMC, and HMC machines according to engineering drawings.
- Select and install cutting tools, fixtures, and work-holding devices.
- Perform machine offsets, tool setting, and first-piece inspection.
- Read and interpret engineering drawings, GD&T, and process sheets.
- Optimize machining parameters to improve cycle time and productivity.
- Monitor machining operations and troubleshoot programming or setup issues.
- Ensure dimensional accuracy using precision measuring instruments.
- Perform preventive maintenance and routine machine checks.
- Follow safety procedures, 5S, and quality management systems.
- Coordinate with production, quality, and maintenance teams.
- Maintain production records and machine documentation.
Required Skills
- Strong knowledge of CNC programming (G & M Codes).
- Experience in VMC and HMC machine setup.
- Ability to read engineering drawings and GD&T.
- Knowledge of tooling, cutting parameters, feeds, and speeds.
- Hands-on experience with Fanuc, Siemens, Mitsubishi, Haas, or similar CNC controls.
- Experience with CAM software such as Mastercam, SolidCAM, PowerMill, or NX (preferred).
- Knowledge of precision measuring instruments:
- Vernier Caliper
- Micrometer
- Height Gauge
- Bore Gauge
- Dial Indicator
- CMM (preferred)
- Good troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
Qualifications
- ITI / Diploma / BE in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
- Certification in CNC Programming is an added advantage.
Experience
- 3–8 years of experience as a CNC/VMC/HMC Setter & Programmer.
Pay: ₹22,000.00 - ₹40,000.00 per month
