Job Title: Customs Service Executive — Imports
Location: Mumbai
About the Role
We’re seeking a proactive Customs Service Executive to manage end-to-end import clearance and shipment coordination. You will update importers on shipment status, coordinate with docks and transport teams, ensure correct documentation, and drive timely release and delivery while maintaining compliance with Indian customs regulations.
Key Responsibilities
Track shipments from ETA through discharge, B/E filing, examination, D/O issuance, release, and delivery; provide timely importer updates.
Prepare and verify import documents (Bill of Entry, commercial invoice, packing list, AWB/BL, certificates such as BIS/CDSCO/PESO as applicable).
Coordinate with docks/stevedores for physical handling and with transport providers for pickup and delivery scheduling.
Liaise with customs officials and brokers; manage e-filing and respond to queries.
Monitor and report exceptions (demurrage, examinations, shortages), escalate when needed, and maintain shipment records.
Required Experience & Skills
Graduate in Commerce, Logistics, or related field; diploma in Customs/Import-Export preferred.
2–5 years’ experience in import clearance (sea and air) in India.
Good knowledge of Indian customs procedures, HS classification basics, and common regulatory certifications.
- Strong communication and customer-service skills; proficient with ICEGATE/EDI portals and MS Office.
Pay: ₹25,000.00 - ₹40,000.00 per month
