Job Summary
We are looking for a skilled TIG & MIG Welder to perform welding and fabrication activities for industrial equipment, pressure parts, tanks, piping, boilers, structural assemblies, and process plant equipment. The candidate should be capable of working from engineering drawings and ensuring high-quality welds that meet project and quality requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform TIG and MIG welding on carbon steel, stainless steel, and alloy steel components.
- Fabricate and assemble process equipment, tanks, vessels, piping, structural steel, and boiler components.
- Read and interpret fabrication drawings, welding symbols, and WPS (Welding Procedure Specifications).
- Carry out fit-up, tack welding, root welding, and final welding as per approved procedures.
- Ensure weld quality through visual inspection and support NDT activities such as DP, RT, and hydro testing when required.
- Operate welding machines, grinders, cutting machines, and fabrication tools safely.
- Repair welding defects and carry out rework as per quality requirements.
- Follow safety procedures, PPE requirements, and company quality standards.
- Coordinate with fabrication supervisors, QC inspectors, and production teams to meet project schedules.
Qualification
- ITI Welder / Fabricator or equivalent technical qualification.
- Welding certification preferred.
Experience & Skills
- 2–8 years of experience in TIG and MIG welding.
- Experience in heavy fabrication, pressure vessels, boilers, process equipment, piping, or structural fabrication.
- Ability to read engineering drawings and welding symbols.
- Knowledge of WPS, welding parameters, fit-up tolerances, and weld inspection.
- Familiarity with stainless steel and carbon steel fabrication.
- Knowledge of NDT requirements and industrial quality standards.
