Job Description
We are looking for a motivated and technically inclined Sales Engineer to join our automation sales team. The candidate will be responsible for supporting sales activities, understanding customer requirements, and promoting automation solutions such as PLC, SCADA, HMI, sensors, drives, and industrial control systems.
This role is ideal for freshers or candidates with up to 1 year of experience who want to build a career in technical sales and industrial automation.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify potential customers and generate new business opportunities.
- Understand customer technical requirements and recommend suitable automation solutions.
- Assist in preparing quotations, proposals, and technical presentations.
- Coordinate with technical and service teams for project execution.
- Maintain relationships with existing clients and provide after-sales support.
- Conduct product demonstrations and explain automation products to customers.
- Follow up on leads, inquiries, and sales orders
- Stay updated on industry trends and competitor products.
Required Skills
Technical Skills
- Basic knowledge of industrial automation systems.
- Understanding of PLC, SCADA, HMI, VFD/Drives, sensors, and control panels.
- Familiarity with electrical circuits and industrial equipment.
- Ability to understand technical drawings and specifications.
- MS Office and basic reporting skills.
Soft Skills
- Good communication and presentation skills.
- Strong interpersonal and negotiation abilities.
- Quick learning attitude and problem-solving skills.
- Willingness to travel for client meetings if required.
Eligibility Criteria
B. Tech (Electrical / Electronics / Instrumentation / Mechanical / Automation)
BBA / MBA with technical understanding or interest in automation sales
0–1 year of experience in sales, automation, or industrial products preferred
Freshers with good technical aptitude can also apply
