We are seeking an experienced and result-oriented Senior Engineer – Planning & Budgeting to lead project planning, scheduling, budgeting, and project controls functions for large-scale highway, expressway, bridge, and infrastructure projects.
The ideal candidate will possess strong expertise in Primavera P6, project monitoring, cost control, and EPC project execution. This role requires close collaboration with project teams, contracts, procurement, and senior management to ensure effective project delivery, schedule adherence, and budget compliance.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end project planning, scheduling, budgeting, and monitoring activities for highway and infrastructure projects.
- Develop, maintain, and monitor detailed project schedules, baselines, and resource-loaded plans using Primavera P6.
- Track project progress against approved baselines and conduct schedule variance analysis to identify risks and delays.
- Prepare recovery plans, mitigation strategies, and corrective action recommendations to achieve project milestones.
- Develop project budgets, cash flow forecasts, earned value reports, and cost-to-complete estimates.
- Coordinate with project execution teams, procurement, contracts, and finance departments for integrated project planning and controls.
- Prepare and present monthly MIS reports, management dashboards, project progress reviews, and client reports.
- Monitor resource utilization, productivity trends, and project performance indicators.
- Review subcontractor schedules, resource deployment plans, and progress reports to ensure alignment with project objectives.
- Support tender planning, bid preparation, construction methodology development, BOQ analysis, and project execution strategies.
- Participate in project review meetings and provide planning insights to senior leadership and stakeholders.
- Ensure compliance with contractual milestones, reporting requirements, and project control procedures.
Required Experience
- 8–10 years of experience in project planning, scheduling, budgeting, and project controls within infrastructure projects.
- Proven experience in highways, roads, expressways, bridges, tunnels, or large-scale civil infrastructure projects.
- Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience in Primavera P6 scheduling, baseline management, and project monitoring.
- Experience working on EPC, HAM, BOT, PPP, or government-funded infrastructure projects is highly preferred.
- Strong understanding of project life cycle management, construction sequencing, and project control methodologies.
Educational QualificationsMandatory
- B.Tech / B.E. in Civil Engineering from a recognized university.
- Post Graduate Qualification from NICMAR (PGP, PGCM, MBA, PGDM, or equivalent) in Construction Management, Project Management, Infrastructure Management, or related disciplines.
- Professional Certification in Primavera P6 — Mandatory.
