We are looking for a RF Network Engineer with a good understanding of computer networking and network infrastructure. The selected candidate will primarily work on networking-related activities and will be provided on-the-job training in RF/Wireless technologies.
The role involves installation, configuration, troubleshooting, maintenance, and support of networking and RF communication systems at various customer/project sites across Odisha.
Key Responsibilities
- Install, configure, maintain, and troubleshoot LAN, WAN, routers, switches, wireless networks, and other networking equipment.
- Assist in the installation, configuration, alignment, commissioning, and troubleshooting of RF/Wireless links.
- Learn and work on RF technologies, point-to-point and point-to-multipoint wireless connectivity under the guidance of senior engineers.
- Perform basic network troubleshooting including IP addressing, subnetting, routing, VLANs, DHCP, DNS, and connectivity issues.
- Conduct site visits and assist in RF link surveys, site assessments, installation, and commissioning.
- Configure and troubleshoot network devices and wireless equipment as per project requirements.
- Monitor network/RF links and coordinate with the NOC or senior technical team for fault resolution.
- Prepare basic site survey reports, installation reports, commissioning reports, and maintenance/service reports.
- Coordinate with customers, site teams, vendors, and internal technical teams during project execution.
- Carry out preventive maintenance and corrective maintenance of networking and RF equipment.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Diploma/B.E./B.Tech in Electronics & Telecommunication, Electrical, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Good fundamental knowledge of computer networking is essential.
- Understanding of TCP/IP, IP addressing, subnetting, routing, switching, LAN/WAN, VLAN, DHCP, and basic network troubleshooting.
- Basic knowledge of routers, switches, wireless access points, and networking tools.
- Knowledge of RF/wireless communication will be an advantage, but fresh candidates with good networking fundamentals can also apply.
- Good troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Willingness to learn RF technologies and wireless networking.
- Good communication and coordination skills.
- Ability to work independently as well as in a team.
Additional Requirement
- Valid two-wheeler driving licence is mandatory/preferred.
- Candidate should be comfortable riding a motorcycle/bike for official site visits.
- Willingness to travel extensively across different districts of Odisha as required for project and maintenance activities.
- Candidates should be physically comfortable working at outdoor/site locations and travelling to remote project locations when required.
Pay: ₹14,000.00 - ₹20,000.00 per month
