PRINCIPAL DUTIES
- Has to be available in the assigned area.
- Has to attend patient calls.
- Has to be a bridge between the primary care consultant and the patient.
- Has to be involved in recording of notes in case sheet.
- Has to be involved in case-sheet audit.
- Has to follow-up on all the instructions given by the primary care consultant.
- Has to follow-up on tests lab report etc.,
- Has to be available as per assigned sift.
- Attend all ward rounds
- Follow up patient investigations
- Ensure that discharge summaries, medication charts and fluid orders are completed
- Assess patients if their condition deteriorates and/or the caring nurse is concerned
- Attend outpatients
- Function as part of Multidisciplinary Team rounds for Inpatient Care and document in the forms provided in the Inpatient records.
He/she is primarily responsible for:
The initial assessment of the patient; ensuring communication with the senior medical staff and other members of the team providing care to the patient; and the co-ordination and facilitation of diagnosis, management and discharge planning for the patient.
- Complete a brief admission examination on each patient when appropriate and document clinical findings.
- Attend ward rounds with consulting staff, as required, and be available to discuss patient treatment plans.
- Inform admitting consultants of changes in medical condition of patients and of relevant action taken.
- Follow the instructions of consultants for their specific regime for each individual patient.
- Perform clinical procedures as requested by consultant medical staff and nursing staff, these may include phlebotomy and the administration of intravenous drugs to patients.
- Initiate and alter in-patient prescriptions at consultant’s request.
- Write up “to take home prescriptions” for patients as required.
- Visit patients as required at the request of the nursing staff.
- Visit all in-patients daily and document in clinical notes.
- To be a member of case sheet team and audit the open case sheets.
- To attend case sheet team meetings and complete the audit work grid as given by the chairman case sheet team.
- To be familiar with all relevant procedures/policies.
- To participate in clinical audit and implementation of clinical governance.
- Participates and contributes to all the quality improvement activities of the service.
- Participates in any training / academic activities of SRMC.
- Adheres to the bylaws, rules and regulations of the SRMC and assures that work performed is in keeping with the established standards of the JCIA.
- Performs any other tasks and duties appropriate to his/her realm of knowledge, skills and experience as required by the management
Pay: ₹45,000.00 - ₹50,000.00 per month
