Job Description: Cashier (Hospitality/Hotel/Restaurant)Role Summary
We are looking for an efficient and detail-oriented Cashier to manage all transactions with customers accurately and efficiently. The successful candidate will be responsible for processing payments, issuing receipts, and providing excellent customer service at the point of sale.
Key Responsibilities
- Transaction Management: Handle cash, card, and digital payment transactions (UPI/Zomato Pay/etc.) using the POS (Point of Sale) system.
- Billing Accuracy: Ensure all food and beverage orders or room charges are billed correctly according to the menu/tariff.
- Customer Service: Greet customers upon arrival or departure, answer questions, and provide information about bills or promotions.
- Cash Handling: Maintain a clean and organized cash drawer; count money at the beginning and end of shifts to ensure amounts are correct (Float management).
- Reporting: Generate daily sales reports and reconcile physical cash with system records.
- Issue Resolution: Handle customer complaints regarding billing discrepancies with a calm and professional attitude.
- Coordination: Coordinate with the kitchen, floor staff, and management to ensure smooth billing and guest flow.
Requirements & Skills
- Experience: Proven work experience as a Cashier in a restaurant, cafe, or hotel environment.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in using POS software (e.g., Petpooja, IDS, Shawman, or similar) and basic MS Excel.
- Mathematics: Strong basic math skills for quick and accurate calculations.
- Communication: Good communication skills in English and Hindi/Local language.
- Attributes: High level of integrity, punctuality, and the ability to work under pressure during peak hours.
- Flexibility: Ability to work in shifts, including weekends and holidays.
Preferred Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Knowledge of GST and service charges in the hospitality sector.
Pay: ₹15,000.00 - ₹20,000.00 per month
