Job Summary
Accurate Gauging and Instruments Pvt. Ltd. is seeking a skilled VMC Operator with at least 2 years of hands-on experience in operating Vertical Machining Center (VMC) machines. The ideal candidate should be capable of setting up machines, operating them efficiently, and ensuring quality production while maintaining safety standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate VMC machines as per production requirements.
- Perform machine setup, tool setting, and workpiece clamping.
- Read and understand engineering drawings and process sheets.
- Load CNC programs and monitor machining operations.
- Conduct first-piece inspection using measuring instruments.
- Ensure dimensional accuracy and maintain product quality.
- Perform tool offset adjustments and minor program modifications when required.
- Carry out routine machine maintenance and housekeeping.
- Maintain production records and machine logs.
- Follow safety, quality, and 5S standards.
Required Skills
- Experience in operating VMC/CNC machines.
- Knowledge of Fanuc or Siemens CNC controls.
- Ability to read engineering drawings and GD&T basics.
- Familiarity with measuring instruments such as:
- Vernier Caliper
- Micrometer
- Height Gauge
- Dial Indicator
- Basic knowledge of tooling, fixtures, cutting parameters, and coolant management.
- Understanding of quality inspection procedures.
Preferred Candidate Profile
- Minimum 2 years of experience as a VMC Operator in a manufacturing or precision engineering industry.
- ITI (Machinist/Turner/Fitter) or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering.
- Self-motivated with a positive attitude and willingness to work in shifts.
- Good teamwork and problem-solving skills.
