About the Role
Introduction –
This is an exciting opportunity to join the Operations Division as a Senior Demand Planner, where you will play a pivotal role in shaping demand and supply planning for the South Region and supporting national-level forecasting for the School Education division. You will work on regional S&OP processes , collaborate with cross-functional teams, and influence inventory strategies for existing and new products. The role involves data-driven decision-making , leveraging business intelligence, and contributing to projects that enhance operational excellence.
Opportunity –
Day-to-Day Responsibilities:
Create and maintain demand forecasts for the South region and oversee national-level forecasts.
Review historical sales trends, research demand drivers, and develop statistical forecast models.
Conduct regional S&OP meetings, collaborate with Sales, Production, and Customer teams for accurate planning.
Provide input to supply planning for inventory norms and stock availability.
Analyze data for forecast accuracy, back-orders, and business requirements.
Impact on Team and Organization:
Ensure accurate forecasting to optimize inventory levels and reduce back-orders.
Act as the information hub for senior management, enabling strategic decisions.
Drive collaboration across Sales, Supply Chain, and Manufacturing to improve service levels.
About You
Essential Criteria:
10–15 years of experience in demand/supply planning roles.
Exposure to multi-region or Pan-India planning.
Strong analytical skills, stakeholder management, and business acumen.
Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint) and ERP environments.
Advanced knowledge of SAP .
Desirable:
Experience in project-based inventory initiatives.
Familiarity with consensus forecasting and S&OP processes.
