Job Summary
The Senior Civil Engineer is responsible for planning, supervising, and executing civil construction activities while ensuring projects are completed safely, on time, within budget, and as per approved drawings, specifications, and quality standards. The role involves coordinating with consultants, contractors, architects, vendors, and project stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and manage day-to-day site construction activities.
- Review and execute work as per approved drawings and technical specifications.
- Plan project schedules and monitor progress against milestones.
- Coordinate with architects, structural consultants, MEP teams, and contractors.
- Ensure compliance with quality standards, safety regulations, and statutory requirements.
- Verify measurements, bills, BOQs, and contractor invoices.
- Monitor material consumption and control wastage.
- Conduct regular site inspections and resolve technical issues.
- Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly progress reports.
- Maintain site documentation, DPRs, checklists, and inspection records.
- Ensure timely procurement and availability of construction materials.
- Lead and mentor junior engineers, supervisors, and site staff.
- Coordinate with clients and consultants during inspections and project reviews.
- Ensure project completion within the approved budget and timeline.
Required Qualifications
- B.E./B.Tech in Civil Engineering
- Additional certifications in Project Management, QA/QC, or Safety are preferred.
Experience
- 8–12 years of experience in building construction, residential, commercial, or infrastructure projects.
- Experience in RCC, finishing works, structural execution, and site management is preferred.
