Core Responsibilities
- Instruction & Academic Delivery: Deliver high-quality lessons in English literature, grammar, and phonology, often focusing on developing advanced reading, writing, and analytical skills.
- Curriculum & Lesson Planning: Develop structured and engaging lesson plans aligned with educational standards (e.g., CBSE/NCERT), incorporating diverse literary genres and media analysis.
- Exam Preparation: Mentoring students for national board examinations, standardized tests, and competitive entrance exams.
- Assessment & Feedback: Evaluate progress through tests, essays, and presentations, providing targeted feedback to improve communication and critical thinking.
- Extracurricular Leadership: Organize and guide students in literary activities like debates, creative writing, drama, and elocution.
- Administrative Duties: Maintain academic records, attend faculty meetings, and communicate regularly with parents regarding student progress.
Essential Qualifications
- Education: A Master’s degree in English (M.A. English) and a Bachelor of Education (B.Ed.) are mandatory requirements for this role.
- Experience: Most schools prefer a minimum of 2–5 years of teaching experience at the senior secondary level.
- Language Proficiency: Exceptional command over written and spoken English is essential.
