We are seeking a passionate, knowledgeable, and result-oriented PGT Mathematics Teacher to teach senior secondary students, primarily Classes XI and XII. The teacher will be responsible for delivering high-quality Mathematics instruction, preparing students for board examinations, developing problem-solving skills, and providing academic guidance and mentoring.
Key Responsibilities
- Teach Mathematics to Classes XI–XII as per the prescribed CBSE/NCERT curriculum.
- Prepare structured lesson plans, worksheets, assignments, and assessments.
- Explain advanced concepts such as Algebra, Calculus, Coordinate Geometry, Probability, Statistics, Vectors, and 3D Geometry.
- Prepare students effectively for CBSE Board examinations.
- Develop students' logical reasoning, analytical thinking, and problem-solving abilities.
- Conduct regular tests, assignments, and remedial classes.
- Monitor student performance and provide individual academic support.
- Maintain accurate records of attendance, assessments, and student progress.
- Communicate with parents regarding academic performance when required.
- Participate in departmental meetings, school activities, examinations, and professional-development programs.
- Use digital tools and innovative teaching methods to enhance classroom learning.
- Maintain effective classroom discipline and create a positive learning environment.
Essential Qualifications
- Master's Degree in Mathematics/Applied Mathematics from a recognized university, preferably with at least 50% marks.
- B.Ed. or equivalent recognized teaching qualification.
- Strong command of senior-secondary Mathematics.
- Good communication skills in English and Hindi.
- Proficiency in using computers and educational technology.
These requirements are consistent with recent KVS/NVS PGT Mathematics eligibility notices.
Preferred Experience
- 2–5 years of teaching experience at the senior-secondary level.
- Experience in a CBSE-affiliated school is preferred.
- Experience preparing students for competitive examinations such as JEE would be an advantage.
