Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced and organized Stores Manager to oversee inventory management, stock control, warehouse operations, and store-related activities. The ideal candidate should have strong experience in the textiles, clothing, or fashion retail industry and be capable of ensuring efficient stock movement, inventory accuracy, and timely product availability.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Commerce, Business Administration, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
- Diploma or certification in Inventory Management will be an added advantage.
Experience
- 5–10 years of experience in Store Management, Inventory Control, or Warehouse Operations.
- Prior experience in Textiles, Apparel, Garments, Fashion Retail, or Lifestyle brands is preferred.
Required Skills
- Strong inventory and warehouse management skills.
- Knowledge of ERP systems and inventory management software.
- Proficiency in MS Excel and reporting tools.
- Excellent organizational and leadership abilities.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Good communication and team management skills.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage day-to-day store and warehouse operations.
- Monitor inventory levels and ensure optimum stock availability.
- Handle inward and outward movement of garments, fabrics, accessories, and other merchandise.
- Maintain accurate records of stock receipts, transfers, and dispatches.
- Conduct periodic stock audits and physical inventory verification.
- Coordinate with procurement, production, merchandising, and retail teams.
- Ensure proper storage, labeling, and organization of products.
- Monitor stock aging and minimize inventory losses.
- Prepare inventory reports, stock reconciliation reports, and MIS reports.
- Implement inventory control procedures and best practices.
- Supervise store personnel and allocate daily responsibilities.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, safety standards, and operational procedures.
