Job Summary
We are looking for an experienced and result-oriented Project Manager (Civil) to lead renovation and interior fit-out projects from planning through completion. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in civil construction, interior execution, client coordination, contractor management, and project delivery while ensuring adherence to quality, budget, safety, and timeline requirements.
Key ResponsibilitiesProject Planning & Execution
- Plan, execute, and monitor renovation and interior fit-out projects from inception to handover.
- Develop project schedules, resource plans, and execution strategies.
- Ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and in accordance with quality standards.
- Coordinate site activities to achieve project milestones.
Site Management
- Supervise day-to-day site operations and monitor work progress.
- Ensure execution aligns with approved drawings, specifications, and project scope.
- Resolve technical and execution-related issues efficiently.
- Conduct regular site inspections and quality checks.
Client & Stakeholder Coordination
- Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, consultants, architects, and vendors.
- Conduct project review meetings and provide regular progress updates.
- Manage client expectations and address project-related concerns promptly.
Contractor & Vendor Management
- Coordinate with subcontractors, suppliers, and service providers.
- Monitor contractor performance and ensure work complies with contractual obligations.
- Verify work completion for billing and payment processing.
Cost & Budget Control
- Monitor project budgets and control costs throughout the project lifecycle.
- Review BOQs, estimates, variation orders, and change requests.
- Track material consumption and minimize wastage.
- Approve bills and ensure timely submission of client and subcontractor invoices.
Quality & Safety
- Ensure compliance with quality standards and company procedures.
- Implement health, safety, and environmental (HSE) practices at project sites.
- Conduct quality inspections and rectify non-conformities.
Documentation & Reporting
- Maintain project documentation, including progress reports, RFIs, site instructions, and change orders.
- Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly project status reports.
- Ensure proper project closeout documentation and handover.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering.
- PMP certification or equivalent project management certification is an added advantage.
Experience
- 8–12 years of experience in civil construction, renovation, and interior fit-out projects.
- Proven experience managing commercial, corporate office, retail, hospitality, healthcare, residential, or institutional renovation projects.
- Experience handling multiple projects simultaneously is preferred.
Required Skills
- Strong knowledge of civil construction and interior fit-out execution.
- Proficiency in project planning, scheduling, and resource management.
- Experience in BOQ preparation, estimation, billing, and cost control.
- Knowledge of construction materials, finishing works, and renovation methodologies.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, Microsoft Project, Primavera (preferred), and Microsoft Office.
- Strong understanding of contracts, project documentation, and quality standards.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
Preferred Skills
- Experience working in occupied buildings with minimal operational disruption.
- Knowledge of statutory approvals and local building regulations.
- Ability to manage multiple stakeholders and fast-track project schedules.
- Familiarity with ERP/project management software is an advantage.
