Position: NPD Senior Engineer
Location: Manur
Department: New Product Development (NPD)
Experience: 5–8 Years
Salary: ₹25,000 – ₹30,000 per Month
Job Summary
The NPD Senior Engineer will be responsible for executing new product development activities, coordinating with suppliers, supporting APQP/PPAP processes, and ensuring timely development and approval of new components.
Key Responsibilities
- Execute new part development activities as per project timelines.
- Coordinate development of Injection Molded Parts, Machined Components, Rubber Parts, Forging Parts, Press Parts, Deep Draw Parts, Copper Parts, Insert Molded Parts, and Packaging Components.
- Prepare APQP and PPAP documentation.
- Participate in supplier audits and process validations.
- Support supplier development and qualification activities.
- Monitor tooling development, sample trials, and validation activities.
- Conduct product costing analysis and support cost reduction initiatives.
- Follow up with suppliers to ensure quality and delivery requirements are achieved.
- Prepare technical reports, development status updates, and presentations.
- Coordinate with internal departments to ensure smooth product development.
Required Skills
- Knowledge of APQP, PPAP, FMEA, and Control Plans.
- Experience in New Product Development and Supplier Coordination.
- Basic understanding of product costing and VAVE activities.
- Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in MS Excel and PowerPoint.
- Strong communication and coordination skills.
Educational Qualification
- Diploma / B.E. / B.Tech in Mechanical, Production, Automobile, Industrial Engineering, or related field.
