Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Foreman Carpenter to supervise and coordinate carpentry activities in furniture manufacturing, retail interiors, commercial interiors, and home interior projects. The candidate will be responsible for managing carpenters, ensuring quality workmanship, meeting project timelines, and maintaining safety standards at the site and factory.
Key Responsibilities
Supervise and lead a team of carpenters and helpers.
Interpret technical drawings and ensure work is executed as per design specifications.
Plan daily work schedules and allocate tasks to the team.
Monitor cutting, assembly, installation, and finishing of furniture and interior elements.
Ensure proper use of tools, machinery, and materials.
Conduct quality checks and rectify workmanship issues.
Coordinate with project managers, site engineers, and vendors.
Track material consumption and minimize wastage.
Ensure timely completion of projects within budget and quality standards.
Maintain workplace safety and housekeeping standards.
Train and mentor junior carpenters and apprentices.
Required Skills
Strong knowledge of woodworking, plywood, laminates, veneers, and hardware fittings.
Expertise in furniture manufacturing and interior fit-out works.
Ability to read and interpret production and installation drawings.
Knowledge of cutting, joining, assembly, and installation techniques.
Good leadership, communication, and team management skills.
Problem-solving ability and attention to detail.
Qualifications
10th ,12th Pass.
5–10 years of experience in carpentry and interior fit-out projects.
Experience in retail interiors, commercial interiors, or modular furniture manufacturing is an advantage.
