Role Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented Purchase Manager to oversee procurement activities for raw materials, components, and factory supplies. The role requires ensuring timely procurement at optimal cost while maintaining strong vendor relationships and compliance with company standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Supplier management – Identify and evaluate suppliers; negotiate pricing, terms, and delivery schedules.
- Procurement operations – Raise and process purchase orders (POs) in coordination with production and stores teams; monitor inventory levels to avoid shortages or excess stock.
- Vendor performance tracking – Maintain vendor database, conduct periodic reviews, and prepare MIS reports on purchase activities and cost savings.
- Ensure all purchases comply with quality standards and company policies. Track purchase orders and ensure timely delivery of goods.
- Coordinate with accounts team for invoice processing and payment clearance.
- Conduct periodic visits to vendor premises and carry out consignment checks for bulk orders during production and prior to dispatch.
Requirements & Qualifications
- Graduate in any discipline; MBA or Diploma in Supply Chain Management preferred.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in purchase/procurement, preferably in a manufacturing company.
- Proficiency in MS Excel, Tally, or ERP systems.
- Strong negotiation and communication skills. Knowledge of GST and import/export procedures is an added advantage.
Pay: ₹20,000.00 - ₹40,000.00 per month
