Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced accountancy tutor to teach senior secondary students (Classes XI & XII) in accordance with the CBSE syllabus. The ideal candidate will deliver concept-driven lessons, prepare students for board examinations, and foster analytical thinking in accounting.
Key Responsibilities
Teaching & Curriculum
Teach Financial Accounting, Cost Accounting, and Management Accounting as per the CBSE Class XI & XII NCERT syllabus
Prepare and deliver structured lesson plans aligned with learning outcomes and assessment objectives
Use real-world case studies, financial documents, and simulations to make concepts practical
Bridge foundational concepts with advanced applications for mixed-ability learners
Assessment & Student Support
Design and grade assessments, tests, and board exam-focused questions (analytical, long-form, case-based)
Conduct regular class tests, mock board exams, and performance evaluations
Provide targeted feedback and additional tutoring to struggling students
Maintain accurate records of attendance, grades, and student progress
Board Exam Preparation
Offer exam-focused mentoring and revision strategies for CBSE Board examinations
Develop concept recap tools, structured exam-prep plans, and revision materials
Professional Collaboration
Participate in departmental meetings, curriculum reviews, and school academic planning
Stay updated with the latest developments in commerce education and CBSE updates
Use EdTech tools (Google Classroom, Moodle, Kahoot, Quizizz) for interactive learning
Qualifications & Requirements
Education: Bachelor's degree in Accountancy/Commerce (B.Com); Master's degree (M.Com) preferred
Teaching Certification: B.Ed or teaching licensure in relevant subjects required
Experience: 3+ years teaching Accountancy in CBSE schools (Class XI & XII) preferred
Subject Expertise: Deep understanding of Financial Accounting, Cost Accounting, Taxation, Financial Reporting, Budgeting, and Financial Analysis
Technical Skills: Proficient in MS Excel, Google Sheets, and financial modelling basics
Skills: Excellent communication, interpersonal skills, and the ability to engage and inspire students
Language: English (required); proficiency in the local language is a plus
Preferred Attributes
Experience in CBSE board exam preparation and mentoring students to high scores
Strong lesson planning aligned with CBSE evaluation techniques
Ability to craft analytical and case-based accounting questions
Data-driven teaching approach with the use of rubrics, progress trackers, and grade moderation
