Job Summary
Sona Star Innovation Pvt. Ltd. is looking for a skilled and experienced Plumber to join our maintenance team in Salem. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience in the installation, maintenance, and repair of plumbing systems in commercial, industrial, educational, hospital, or institutional buildings.
Key Responsibilities
- Install, maintain, and repair water supply, drainage, sewage, and sanitary systems.
- Diagnose and resolve plumbing issues, including leakages, pipe blockages, and fixture malfunctions.
- Install and maintain pipelines, pumps, valves, faucets, water tanks, and sanitary fixtures.
- Carry out preventive and breakdown maintenance of plumbing systems.
- Read and interpret plumbing drawings, layouts, and specifications.
- Ensure uninterrupted water supply and proper functioning of plumbing infrastructure.
- Coordinate with civil, electrical, and facility maintenance teams.
- Maintain tools, equipment, and inventory of plumbing materials.
- Follow safety standards and company maintenance procedures.
- Attend emergency maintenance calls as required.
Eligibility Criteria
- ITI in Plumber Trade or equivalent vocational qualification (Preferred).
- Minimum 4 years of relevant plumbing experience.
- Experience in commercial buildings, hospitals, educational institutions, hotels, or industrial facilities is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of PVC, CPVC, GI, UPVC, HDPE, and sanitary fittings.
- Ability to identify faults and complete repairs independently.
- Basic understanding of plumbing drawings and preventive maintenance practices.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Physically fit and willing to work across the campus/site.
Preferred Skills
- Knowledge of motor pumps and water distribution systems.
- Experience in preventive maintenance and facility management.
- Ability to work under minimal supervision.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
