The Senior Accountant is responsible for managing and overseeing the daily accounting operations of the organization, ensuring accurate financial reporting, compliance with statutory regulations, and maintaining the integrity of financial records. The role involves handling general ledger activities, taxation, audits, budgeting support, and financial analysis to support business decision-making.
Key ResponsibilitiesFinancial Accounting
- Maintain and oversee the general ledger and accounting records.
- Ensure accurate recording of all financial transactions.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
- Review journal entries, account reconciliations, and ledger balances.
- Monitor accounts payable and accounts receivable processes.
Financial Reporting
- Prepare management reports, MIS reports, and financial analyses.
- Generate profit & loss statements, balance sheets, and cash flow reports.
- Analyze financial performance and identify trends, variances, and improvement opportunities.
- Support management with budgeting and forecasting activities.
Taxation & Compliance
- Ensure compliance with GST, TDS, Income Tax, and other statutory requirements.
- Prepare and review tax returns and statutory filings.
- Coordinate with tax consultants and regulatory authorities.
- Keep updated on changes in accounting standards and tax regulations.
Audit & Internal Controls
- Coordinate internal, statutory, and tax audits.
- Prepare audit schedules and supporting documentation.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and internal control procedures.
- Recommend improvements to accounting systems and processes.
Banking & Cash Management
- Manage bank reconciliations and cash flow monitoring.
- Coordinate with banks for transactions, loans, and financial documentation.
- Monitor working capital requirements and fund utilization.
Team Coordination
- Supervise junior accountants and accounts executives.
- Review accounting work and provide guidance to team members.
- Support training and development of accounting staff.
- Collaborate with other departments on financial matters.
Documentation & Record Keeping
- Maintain accurate financial records and supporting documents.
- Ensure proper filing and retention of accounting and statutory documents.
- Support ERP and accounting system implementation or improvements.
Pay: ₹20,000.00 - ₹25,000.00 per month
