Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled Chief Engineer to lead and oversee engineering operations. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing technical teams, ensuring efficient maintenance of equipment and facilities, improving operational performance, and implementing engineering best practices to support business objectives.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and supervise the engineering and maintenance team.
- Plan, coordinate, and oversee preventive and corrective maintenance activities.
- Ensure the efficient operation of plant machinery, equipment, and utilities.
- Develop and implement maintenance schedules to minimize downtime.
- Troubleshoot complex mechanical, electrical, and technical issues.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations, quality standards, and statutory requirements.
- Manage engineering projects, equipment installations, and system upgrades.
- Monitor maintenance budgets and optimize operational costs.
- Coordinate with production and other departments to ensure uninterrupted operations.
- Prepare technical reports, maintenance records, and performance analyses.
Required Skills
- Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and industrial engineering systems.
- Excellent leadership and team management skills.
- Ability to diagnose and resolve complex technical issues.
- Good understanding of preventive maintenance and asset management.
- Knowledge of safety regulations and engineering best practices.
- Strong planning, analytical, and problem-solving abilities.
- Good communication and organizational skills.
- Proficiency in MS Office and maintenance management systems is an advantage.
Eligibility
- Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, or a related Engineering discipline.
- Proven experience in an engineering leadership or maintenance management role.
- Strong technical knowledge and the ability to lead engineering teams effectively.
- Candidates residing in or willing to relocate to Mumbai will be given preference.
