Job Description:
We are looking for an experienced and responsible Banquet Manager for a catering company based in Mulund, Mumbai. The candidate will be responsible for managing banquet and outdoor catering operations, event execution, staff coordination, client handling, setup planning, service flow, and post-event closing.
The ideal candidate should have strong experience in handling events, managing service teams, coordinating with kitchen and vendors, and ensuring smooth execution of small and large catering functions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage end-to-end banquet and catering operations for events, parties, weddings, corporate functions, and outdoor catering.
- Coordinate with clients before and during the event to understand requirements and ensure smooth execution.
- Plan event setup including buffet layout, live counters, service stations, seating, staff allocation, and guest flow.
- Coordinate with kitchen team for menu planning, food readiness, dispatch timing, live counter setup, and service quality.
- Supervise service staff, captains, stewards, housekeeping, loaders, and support teams during events.
- Ensure timely loading, unloading, setup, service, clearance, and closing of events.
- Maintain service standards, hygiene, grooming, cleanliness, and guest satisfaction at all times.
- Handle guest complaints, client feedback, last-minute changes, and operational challenges professionally.
- Track event material, crockery, cutlery, glassware, buffet equipment, disposables, and return stock.
- Coordinate with vendors for décor, sound, tent, furniture, transport, and other event requirements when needed.
- Prepare event reports, staff attendance, breakage reports, shortage reports, and post-event feedback.
- Ensure proper discipline, teamwork, safety standards, and smooth communication between all departments.
Candidate Requirements:
- Prior experience as Banquet Manager, Catering Manager, Event Manager, Operations Manager, or Senior Banquet Captain preferred.
- Strong knowledge of banquet operations, outdoor catering, buffet setup, live counters, event service, and staff handling.
- Ability to manage multiple events, high-pressure situations, and last-minute changes.
- Good communication, leadership, client-handling, and problem-solving skills.
- Should be presentable, disciplined, hands-on, and service-focused.
- Basic knowledge of event reports, inventory coordination, staff planning, and vendor coordination.
- Comfortable working late nights, weekends, public holidays, and event-based schedules.
- Candidate should be currently located in or willing to travel/relocate to Mulund, Mumbai.
Qualification:
Graduate / Hotel Management qualification preferred.
Relevant banquet, catering, hotel, or event operations experience will be given priority.

Pay: ₹45,000.00 - ₹50,000.00 per month
