Job Summary:*
We are urgently looking for skilled Gas Cutters to join our fabrication/construction operations in Bellary and Jajpur. Candidates should have experience in oxy-fuel/gas cutting, be able to read fabrication drawings, and perform accurate cutting of steel plates, pipes, and structural components while following safety standards.
Key Responsibilities:
* Operate oxy-acetylene/oxy-fuel gas cutting equipment safely and efficiently.
* Cut steel plates, pipes, beams, and structural components as per drawings and specifications.
* Read and interpret fabrication drawings and cutting plans.
* Mark, measure, and prepare materials before cutting.
* Adjust gas pressure, flame settings, and cutting parameters for different material thicknesses.
* Inspect cut materials for dimensional accuracy and quality.
* Remove slag and smooth rough edges after cutting.
* Perform routine maintenance of gas cutting equipment.
* Follow all safety procedures, PPE requirements, and hot-work guidelines.
Requirements:
* ITI (Welder/Fitter/Gas Cutter) or equivalent qualification preferred.
* Minimum 2–5 years of experience as a Gas Cutter in fabrication, steel, construction, or heavy engineering industries.
* Knowledge of oxy-acetylene, LPG, or oxy-fuel cutting processes.
* Ability to read fabrication drawings and use measuring instruments.
* Familiarity with structural steel cutting and material handling.
* Good understanding of gas cylinder safety and workplace safety practices.
* Physically fit and willing to work in industrial environments.
Pay: ₹20,000.00 - ₹28,000.00 per month
