To define, lead, and ensure the consistent, safe, efficient, and compliant execution of transportation strategy across all institutional branches/sites by providing strategic direction and oversight to local Transport Managers.
Key Responsibilities:
· Develop and implement a unified, long-term transportation strategy and policies for all locations, focusing on safety, efficiency, and scalability.
· Proven experience in managing a large fleet of a comparable size 300+ commercial vehicles
· Establish and enforce standardized operating procedures, safety rules, and service levels across all sites to ensure consistent quality and compliance.
· Oversee the selection, implementation, and management of group-wide Transportation Management Systems, GPS tracking, and safety technology to optimize operations and data analysis.
· Provide leadership, mentorship, and support to all site-level Transport In-charges and their teams.
· Set Key Performance Indicators for each site and monitor performance data to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions.
· Ensure all locations strictly adhere to local, state, and national transport regulations, and safety directives. Act as the primary liaison with relevant government and regulatory authorities.
· Establish and manage a program of regular safety audits and quality assurance checks across all branches to ensure standards are met.
· Develop and coordinate comprehensive emergency response plans for system-wide incidents and ensure all sites conduct regular drills.
· Consolidate and manage the overall transportation budget for the entire organization, monitoring expenditures and driving cost-saving initiatives
· In-depth, expert knowledge of transportation logistics, safety protocols, RTO norms, and legal compliance
Expeince:
· 15 Years to 20 Years with proven success in managing large-scale.
· Skills: Exceptional leadership, strategic thinking, data analysis, problem-solving, and communication skills.
· Education: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
