We are looking for a high-performing Area Sales Manager to drive sales growth, expand dealer network, and strengthen market presence in the Pune region. The role involves managing channel partners, driving demand through plumbers/contractors, and ensuring strong brand visibility in a competitive building materials market.
Key Responsibilities1. Sales & Revenue Growth
- Achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets for the assigned territory
- Drive primary (company to distributor) and secondary (dealer to end customer) sales
- Identify growth opportunities and expand market share
2. Channel Development (Dealer/Distributor Network)
- Appoint new dealers, distributors, and retailers in Pune and nearby areas
- Strengthen relationships with existing channel partners
- Ensure proper stock availability and liquidation at dealer level
- Monitor credit limits, outstanding payments, and collections
3. Plumber & Contractor Engagement
- Build strong relationships with plumbers, contractors, builders, and consultants
- Promote products through site visits and direct engagement
- Implement plumber loyalty and incentive programs
- Conduct training sessions and product awareness programs
4. Market Expansion & Coverage
- Increase retail coverage and visibility in Pune territory
- Identify untapped markets and develop new business opportunities
- Ensure availability of products across key markets and projects
5. Brand Visibility & Execution
- Execute branding activities at dealer outlets:
- Shop boards, display units, posters, etc.
- Coordinate with marketing team for local campaigns
- Ensure proper in-store visibility and merchandising
6. Project Sales & Institutional Business
- Generate leads from builders, contractors, architects, and government projects
- Follow up on project approvals and conversions
- Build relationships with key decision-makers in projects
7. Market Intelligence
- Track competitor activities, pricing, and schemes
- Provide feedback on product demand, pricing trends, and customer preferences
- Share insights for product and strategy improvement
8. Reporting & MIS
- Maintain daily, weekly, and monthly sales reports
- Track performance against targets
- Provide accurate forecasts and pipeline updates
9. Team Coordination
- Coordinate with internal teams (logistics, marketing, accounts)
- Ensure timely delivery and customer satisfaction
- Support junior sales executives (if assigned)

Qualifications

Experience Required
- 4–8 years of experience in sales
- Preferably from pipes, building materials, sanitaryware, or FMCG sector
- Experience in Pune market is highly preferred
