Key Responsibilities
- Pre-Service Prep: Set up tables with clean linens, polished cutlery, glassware, and condiments (mise-en-place) and stock side stations with napkins and menu cards.
- Greeting & Seating: Welcome guests warmly, pull out chairs, present menus, and offer recommendations.
- Order Taking & Upselling: Accurately record food and drink orders, note any dietary restrictions, and suggest appetizers, specials, or premium beverages.
- Food & Beverage Service: Deliver orders promptly following the correct sequence of service and present items according to establishment standards.
- Table Maintenance: Monitor guest satisfaction, refill water glasses, clear used plates, and promptly reset tables for the next guests.
- Billing & Payment: Prepare itemized checks, process cash or card payments, and handle transactions accurately.
- Hygiene & Safety: Maintain a clean work environment, adhere to food safety regulations, and safely handle delicate tableware.
