About the Role
Spaces by Niharika Rajanikanth is looking for an experienced Interior Site Supervisor to manage and monitor the day-to-day execution of our interior projects in Chennai.
The ideal candidate should have strong hands-on experience in residential interior execution and be comfortable coordinating contractors, vendors, labour teams and the design office. This role requires someone who can independently manage site progress, understand drawings, maintain execution quality and escalate issues before they impact timelines.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise day-to-day interior execution activities at project sites.
- Coordinate with carpenters, electricians, plumbers, painters, false-ceiling teams, flooring contractors and other vendors.
- Read and understand interior drawings, furniture drawings, electrical layouts, ceiling layouts and related site documentation.
- Ensure work is executed in accordance with approved drawings, specifications and design intent.
- Check site dimensions and measurements before execution.
- Monitor workmanship, finishing quality and overall site standards.
- Coordinate material requirements, deliveries and availability at site.
- Track daily progress against project schedules and highlight potential delays in advance.
- Conduct regular quality checks and snagging during different stages of execution.
- Maintain clear communication between site teams, vendors and the project/design team.
- Prepare and share structured daily site progress reports with photographs.
- Identify site discrepancies and raise RFIs/clarifications with the design team before proceeding.
- Ensure completed work is protected from damage during subsequent activities.
- Assist with final snagging, rectification and project handover.
- Maintain basic records relating to site progress, material quantities and vendor coordination.
Candidate Requirements
- 3–5 years of relevant experience in interior site supervision or interior fit-out execution.
- Strong practical knowledge of:
- Carpentry and modular/joinery works
- False ceiling and gypsum works
- Electrical works
- Plumbing works
- Flooring and tiling
- Painting and polishing
- Stone and surface finishes
- Interior finishing and detailing
- Ability to understand and execute from technical drawings.
- Good understanding of site measurements and basic quantity calculations.
- Ability to coordinate multiple vendors and labour teams simultaneously.
- Strong problem-solving and site-management skills.
- Good communication and reporting skills.
- Ability to work independently and take ownership of assigned projects.
- Should be based in Chennai or willing to work full-time in Chennai.
- Two-wheeler / ability to travel between project sites would be an advantage.

The candidate should be able to identify potential execution issues early, communicate them clearly and work with the project team to resolve them while maintaining quality and timelines.
Working Style
This is a site-focused role. The Site Supervisor will work closely with our Project Coordinator and Design Team and will be responsible for providing regular updates from site.
Timely reporting, quality control and proactive escalation of delays or technical concerns will be an important part of the role.
