We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Cybersecurity Analyst to join our team. The candidate will be responsible for monitoring security activities, identifying potential threats, assisting with vulnerability assessments, and supporting the implementation of cybersecurity best practices.
This role is suitable for freshers and candidates with a strong interest in cybersecurity who are willing to learn and grow in a professional environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor security alerts, logs, and network activities for potential threats.
- Identify, analyze, and report security incidents and vulnerabilities.
- Assist in vulnerability assessments, security audits, and risk assessments.
- Support incident response and investigation activities.
- Perform basic security testing and assist with penetration testing activities.
- Maintain documentation related to security incidents, vulnerabilities, and security procedures.
- Assist in implementing security policies, controls, and best practices.
- Stay updated on emerging cybersecurity threats, vulnerabilities, and attack techniques.
- Work with IT and development teams to identify and resolve security-related issues.
- Prepare basic security reports and communicate findings to the relevant teams.
Required Skills
- Basic understanding of cybersecurity concepts and information security.
- Knowledge of networking fundamentals such as TCP/IP, DNS, HTTP/HTTPS, and firewalls.
- Understanding of common cyber threats, vulnerabilities, and attack techniques.
- Familiarity with Linux and Windows operating systems.
- Basic knowledge of vulnerability assessment and penetration testing.
- Familiarity with tools such as Nmap, Wireshark, Burp Suite, or Kali Linux is an advantage.
- Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication and documentation skills.
- Willingness to learn new cybersecurity technologies and tools.
Educational Qualification
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or a related field.
- Relevant cybersecurity certifications or training will be an added advantage.
