Job Summary
We are looking for a motivated New Product Development Engineer with 1-2 years of experience in automotive manufacturing and welding processes. The candidate will support new product development activities, process development, customer coordination, and production launches while ensuring quality and customer requirements are met.
Key Responsibilities
- Support new product development projects from RFQ to production launch.
- Prepare process flow, work instructions, and manufacturing feasibility studies.
- Assist in the development and optimization of:
- Spot Welding
- Projection Welding
- CO₂ MIG Welding
- Panasonic Robot Welding
- Conduct welding trials and process validation activities.
- Perform torque testing and maintain test records.
- Coordinate with production, quality, and tooling teams during new product development.
- Develop and improve packaging methods for safe product transportation.
- Support material handling planning and manufacturing line setup.
- Participate in APQP, PPAP, PFMEA, and Control Plan activities.
- Handle customer requirements, engineering changes, and development issues.
- Coordinate with customers such as Tata Motors and Jaguar Land Rover (JLR) regarding project updates and product approvals.
- Support continuous improvement and cost reduction initiatives.
